Craftsmanship is built on a relationship of trust between maker and customer. It is a relationship in which customers recognize the artisan’s integrity and expertise, trusting them to create products to the highest standards without compromising quality to reduce costs or production time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honouring the trust placed in our work is both a privilege and a responsibility. For us, building lasting relationships with our customers means being part of their everyday rituals\u2014whether it’s their morning coffee or a meal prepared to share with family and friends. In this sense, food contact certification is an essential part of our ethical approach, ensuring that our customers can use our products every day with complete confidence and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environmental Impact: Our Zero Waste Approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Considering the environmental impact of our work is a fundamental part of our values. Every year, we reduce our ecological footprint by carefully analysing our production processes and adopting greener technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move to a new studio equipped with both solar thermal and photovoltaic panels\u2014which supply part of the electricity required for our operations, particularly the energy-intensive ceramic firing process\u2014marked a major milestone in our journey towards greater energy efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also use a sedimentation tank that allows us to recover and recycle almost all of the clay used during both production and workshops. This significantly reduces the need for new raw materials while extending the life cycle of the resources already available to us. As artisans, we believe in honouring our materials by making sure that not even a single gram goes to waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is from this perspective that the Zero Waste Collection was born: a line of products made entirely from our own production waste. Our work carries a message: it is possible to run a profitable business while pursuing meaningful environmental goals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our Long-Term Goal: An Imperfect Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ultimate goal of Asperitas is to achieve zero impact: by implementing the use of photovoltaic energy to cover all of our energy consumption, and by developing clays and glazes made entirely from industrial and private waste materials.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Year after year, we dedicate part of our time to research and experimentation in order to move closer to this goal, while keeping in mind that there is no such thing as a perfect path.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having to choose what and how to produce, deciding why one material should be suitable while another should not \u2014 these are impossible choices that we continually reassess. The truth is that none of the materials we currently use is completely sustainable, given the state of our poor, beautiful planet.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We choose to present our research and thought process with complete transparency, so that our customers \u2014 and those considering becoming our customers \u2014 can make an informed decision, entirely independently, and evaluate for themselves whether our sustainability efforts are sufficient or not.
